PUFF PASTRY ROSES WITH PEACH JAM AND APPLES

"With apple? I thought it is with ham..." - My disappointed friend looking at the roses.
"Mmm, good!" - The same friend after putting down her inner carnivore.
Ingredientsfor 12 snacks
- 2 sheets of puff pastry
- 2 medium apples, preferably red
- 1/2 lemon
- peach jam with reduced sugar
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 205 degrees. In a bowl, mix sugar, a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper (we use 1.5 teaspoons). Dry the pineapple on a paper towel and coat it in the mixture on both sides.
2. Heat the bowl of apples in the microwave until the slices are soft enough to roll. In our case it took 2 minutes and 40 seconds.
3. Unroll each sheet of puff pastry on the counter and cut it into 6 equal strips parallel to the shorter edge. Spread each strip with a thin layer of jam.
4. Set the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. While heating, drain the water from the apples; on each strip, close to one of the edges, place the apples "overlapping", with the skin facing outwards; cover the apples with the remaining dough. Roll the strip of dough filled with jam and apples slowly, making sure that the apples are arranged in the shape of rose petals. Place the wrapped rose in a silicone muffin tin.
5. Bake the florets in the oven on the middle level without fan convection turned on. After about 20 minutes, when the apples start to burn, move the baking tray to the lower level of the oven. Bake for a total of 45 minutes.
